About Pearlgate
Our History
This international standard facility, operated by a volunteer Board of Management, was constructed in 1988 for the Newfoundland & Labrador Summer Games. It combines the best features for recreation, training, competition and community events. These features include: an eight lane, 400 metre polyurethane surface, concrete throwing circles, polyurethane areas and runways for high jump, long jump, pole vault and javelin.
At the same elevation as the historic site of Signal Hill, Pearlgate Track & Field Complex overlooks Mount Pearl, the Narrows and areas of St. John's. It's one of Mount Pearl's finest recreation facilities with a spectacular view!
Facility Rental Information
The two story adjacent multi- purpose building includes washroom and shower facilities, first aid room, and storage room. Upstairs the multi-purpose room is can accommodate up to 100 and is available for private rentals, workshops, receptions, etc. It has washroom and kitchen facilities, stereo and p.a. systems and a large patio with barbeque overlooking the track & field.

We offer a variety of programmes for athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our programmes are designed to help athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and have fun!
